Board Registration Scheme

World Sailing Production Board Registration and Approved Series Boards

World Sailing operates a registration system for Race, Formula, Wave, Freestyle, Speed, and Slalom boards.

The scheme requires manufacturers to produce identical boards, using the same building specification, made in a production run of not less than a minimum number of identical units.

Approved series production boards can be identified by the World Sailing logo applied by the manufacturer during production and are listed in the World Sailing Approved Lists.

The Raceboard, Funboard, Youth Funboard and Formula Windsurfing Classes are recognised by World Sailing as International Classes.

These windsurfing Classes require boards to be included in the World Sailing Approved Lists to be eligible for racing at World Championship and Continental Events.

Registration of boards is through an online form – please email the technical department – technical@sailing.org in order to apply with the scheme and have a registration portal developed.
