Equipment Registration

The Series Production Equipment Registration Scheme is operated by World Sailing and acts as the process by which manufacturers can register series production equipment to be eligible for racing at events of classes that have adopted the scheme.

World Sailing Series Production Equipment Registration Scheme

The Scheme covers Raceboard, Funboard, Youth Funboard, Formula Windsurfing and Formula Wingfoil classes and is managed by the World Sailing Technical Team, ensuring production equipment complies with class rules and positioning of the World Sailing Logo is in-line with the guidelines. The Logo serves to identify equipment that is correctly registered through the Series Production Equipment Registration Scheme and is eligible for use at Events where registration with the system is required.

The Scheme also acts as an information repository to be utilised during inspections, or in case of dispute, where World Sailing has access to technical documents to allow validation of specifications and production methods used for construction.

Once registered, the equipment model remains eligible to race indefinitely as long as it is produced in accordance with the approved specifications and continues to be legal under the relevant class rules.
