The Laser Radial are patiently waiting for the breeze and before they head out onto the water, World Sailing caught up with the sailors.
The Laser Radial are patiently waiting for the breeze and before they head out onto the water, World Sailing caught up with the sailors.
Catch a glimpse of what they’re thinking ahead of their start and check out the line up below:
Tuula Tenkanen – Finland
I’m looking forward to the race, I am sure it’s going to be exciting. It’s possible [to finish on the podium], it will be challenging but I will do my best and see how it goes.
The only thing I can do is sail as good as I can, try to win the race.
Evi Van Acker – Belgium
I’m excited to get started. I’m just going to go out there and try to do my very best and sail a good rest. So far I just want to sail a good race and not look at the race and focus on myself.
Anne Marie Rindom – Denmark
I’m excited and I’m looking forward to going out there and to do my best. It’s going to be very exciting, all the people are going to do their best and I’m sure the best girl will win and see what happens.
My tactic is to focus on my sailing, doing my best and we will see what the result will be after that. I think it will be light but sometimes the sea breeze can come in. We don’t know yet but I am prepared for everything.
