Thursday - ISAF Sailing World Cup Qingdao - How to Follow - Day 2

Following some perfect starts on Day 1 in Qingdao, the second will see a shake up in the rankings as the discard comes in to play.

Leading the way in the Nacra 17 are Singapore’s Justin Liu and Denise Lim with three wins from three races yesterday. Matching that start in the Women’s RS:X was China’s Jiahui Wu. Although Wu holds a lead in the race to the Abu Dhabi final, Liu and Lim have the added bonus of Olympic qualification at stake, so they can expect some fight back from the chasing Asian teams today.

The sailors start with a north easterly breeze, which again moves to a south east breeze as we move through the day. The warm day in Qingdao sees 8-10 knots of wind gusting up to 14. Similar conditions to yesterday makes for an intriguing day as sailors can take the lessons learned from yesterdays racing and try to move up the leader board, while the over night leaders will look to capitalise from the conditions they did so well in.
