Video - Hannah Snellgrove looks ahead to Qingdao

Just one day out from the start of the ISAF Sailing World Cup Qingdao and Great Britain’s Hannah Snellgrove is looking forward to her first time sailing in the Qingdao waters.
Nicknamed Fruitcake(according to her ISAF Sailor ID), Snellgrove has previously been to China to sail in the Laser Radial Worlds in Rizhao, but this will be her first World Cup event at the venue of the Beijing 2008 sailing competition.
Having been out on the water for the past two days and keeping an eye on the forecast, Snellgrove has been keeping in mind what she would like, but also what is more likely to happen with the breeze.
She said, “If we had a mix of conditions that would be cool, but I’m expecting it to be on the lighter side.”
With two top 10 finishes in the Garda and Trentino Olympic Week and Delta Lloyd Regatta, as well as a 13th place at the
ISAF Sailing World Cup Weymouth and Portland, Snellgrove will be looking for a good result in Qingdao.
Snellgrove said, “I’m looking to try and put together a solid regatta and work on a few things I need to adjust, so that is my aim for the week.”
Laser Radial racing in Qingdao will commence at 12:10 on Wednesday 16 September.
