New Round Britain and Ireland Record

Subject to WSSR ratification there is a new Round Britain and Ireland, non stop, crewed, monohull record.

“Solune”, the 60 ft monohull skippered by JP CHOMETTE crossed the Lizard finish line at 21.41 last night, 10 May 2004, to claim an elapsed time of 7 days 4 hours 46 minutes and 22 seconds for the 1787 nautical mile course.

This exceeds the existing record held by Alex THOMSON by over 3 days.
