Scoring & Rules Software

The following scoring systems and rules software are not formerly endorsed by World Sailing but are highly regarded. All scoring systems make use of WS Sailor ID and WS Sailor biographies.

World Sailing XML Regatta Reporting Data Format (XRR)

XRR is an XML schema defined by the World Sailing; the world governing body for the sport of sailing.

It provides a universal standard for the transfer of information relating to sailing events, including but not limited to results, calendar and entry information.

For information on the use of XRR to provide regatta data to World Sailing, visit the
XML Regatta Reporting (XRR) Data Format page or please contact the World Sailing Events Team.

MNA Codes

The World Sailing Member National Authority Country Codes are detailed in the World Sailing Membership page. These codes are those used by the International Olympic Committee.

To view the Member National Authorities by Group and the number of seats each group has on Council go to Schedule A of the World Sailing Constitution. This information is also available in hard copy format in the World Sailing Yearbook.

World Sailing Judicial Decisions

Disciplinary and appeal decisions within World Sailing are determined by Independent Panels appointed by the Judicial Board. Decisions made by MNAs are decided by the disciplinary systems of those MNAs.
For more information, please visit the Disciplinary page.
