In partnership with the leading digital sailing platform, Virtual Regatta, World Sailing launched the partnership with the eSailing World Championship in May 2018.
The inaugural season saw 170,000 unique players from 74 nations battle it out over three months for a place in the Live Final Playoffs.
Since then the roster of events has increased to include an annual Nations Cup as well as the Olympic Esports Series.
Aimed at everyone from expert sailors to sports gamers, the eSailing is helping World Sailing to inform, engage and inspire the next generation of sailors and sailing fans. The goal is to bring the excitement that comes with harnessing the power of nature to the phones and tablets of fans around the world
