Steering the Course 2022
Steering the Course 2022 was our biggest festival to date!
The second year of Steering the Course ran in 2022 and the festival was our biggest edition to date.
Sailing Clubs, Centres, Member National Authorities, Class Associations and volunteers were again encouraged to sign up to support the event and run any one of the activities suggested.
2021 saw a range of activities from Taster Sessions, Race Days, Inspiration Talks and Seminars to social media campaigns and eSailing events and this momentum definitely continued into 2022.
When did Steering the Course 2022 take place?
2022 again saw two festivals take place to match the springtime in both the Northern and Southern hemisphere, but participants were encouraged to take part in which ever festivals suits them best.
Participants were also able to choose the best days to suit them, whether it was a weekend or the whole 10 days.
World Sailing is also aware that this important action should be a focus of our attention all year round, so we will be working on a year-round social media campaign to increase awareness. We encouraged any participants to take part in this initiative too.
Northern Hemisphere Festival – Friday 20 to Sunday 29 May 2022
Southern Hemisphere Festival – Friday 30 September to Sunday 9 October 2022
