“ The ENP program has given Deisy the opportunity to realise her dream. It was a good program which helps the countries who doesn't have conditions to participate in a lot of training camps and competition because of lack funding. And with this program the athlete got the opportunity to work with all good experts and coaches to help during their preparation. ”
Tokyo 2020 Emerging Nations Program
The most recent program focused on Radial Sailors, and sailors were supported to the 2018 Sailing World Championships in Aarhus, as well as the 2019 Laser Radial World Championships and regional qualification events for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Sailors were supported with funded training camps, flight bursaries, equipment charter and accommodation support. World Class coaching was also provided alongside fitness program support.
At Tokyo 2020, 8 Sailors from the Senior Program and previous Youth Programs qualified to represent their nations.
