Growing Blind Sailing around the world VI Webinar Series

World Sailing is pleased to launch a new four-week webinar series, “Growing Blind Sailing Around the World”, hosted by World Champion Lucy Hodges MBE.

These sessions focus on the practical realities of building and growing Blind Sailing programmes – from engaging clubs and sailing centres, to developing national strategies and sustainable communities for visually impaired sailors.

Lucy will also share her personal five-year journey growing Blind Sailing in the UK through her charity, offering real-world insight into what works, what doesn’t, and why.

Each session will run three times per week across different time zones to ensure global accessibility. The series is designed for athletes, coaches, administrators, and MNAs, and provides a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, connect internationally, and support the growth of VI sailing worldwide.

These webinars reflect World Sailing’s commitment to practical development support and community-led growth, ensuring visually impaired sailors can access meaningful opportunities wherever they are in the world.

The webinars will run over four weeks; the same session will run three times so that all those in different time zones are able to attend.

These webinars are an important opportunity for athletes, coaches, and administrators to learn more about how to successfully set up Blind Sailing programmes.
