World Sailing President attends SEA Games in Thailand
World Sailing President Quanhai Li is proudly representing the federation at the 33rd South East Asian Games (SEA Games) in Chonburi, Thailand.
Held from 11-18 December, the sailing competition features Men’s and Women’s ILCA 4, Boy’s and Girl’s Optimist, Women’s ILCA 6, Men’s ILCA 7 and Mixed 470 events.
During his visit, the President had the honour of meeting Her Majesty Queen Suthida, the Queen of Thailand, herself a keen sailor and a member of the SSL Team Thailand crew competing in the SSL47 class competition on 17-18 December.

He said, “It is incredible to be here amongst sailors of all ages from across the region. The sport has tremendous potential to grow, particularly amongst the youth and coastal communities where conditions are ideal. To have the backing of Her Majesty Queen Suthida as a role model for young sailors is incredibly exciting for the future of sailing in Thailand and across South East Asia.”
More information about the SEA Games, including full schedule and results, can be found on the official event website, and information about the upcoming SSL47 competition can be found here.
