SailGP locks in long-term future with new 2026/27 dates

Hot on the heels of a sell-out opening day in Sassnitz – where Germany Deutsche Bank stormed to a race win and ROCKWOOL Racing smashed the speed record – SailGP has announced a major commitment to return to the city in both 2026 and 2027.

Fans in Germany can now look forward to more show-stopping racing on August 22/23, 2026 and August 21/22, 2027.

And that’s just the beginning. Perth has been secured through 2028, Bermuda is confirmed through to 2027, and New York will once again host the most exciting racing on water in both 2026 and 2027.

For the very first time, Rio de Janeiro joins the line-up, guaranteeing breathtaking racing against one of the world’s most iconic backdrops.

UK fans won’t miss out either – Portsmouth will welcome SailGP back on July 25/26, 2026 and July 24/25, 2027, after 20,000 fans packed the seafront this summer. Plus, Dubai remains a key fixture for 2027.
