World Sailing Extraordinary General Assembly re-affirms its Constitution

A World Sailing Extraordinary General Assembly today re-affirmed its Constitution. Two motions were considered but did not receive the necessary 75% majority to pass. 

World Sailing President, Quanhai Li, said: “This is a decision which the World Sailing family has made in a fully democratic process. World Sailing will continue to ensure the highest standards of governance and we look forward to seeing all our Members at the General Assembly in November.”

David Graham, World Sailing Chief Executive Officer, said: “We have seen a welcome level of engagement from our Members in an open and transparent process. I thank the Members for the consideration they have given to this matter.”
