Notice of Race published for 2024 Double Handed World Offshore Championships

Lorient Grand Large has officially published the Notice of Race for the 2024 Double Handed World Offshore Championship scheduled for 24 September-1 October in Lorient, France.

The 2024 Double Handed World Offshore Championships is expected to feature 20 mixed teams. Racing will follow an elimination series format with the top five advancing to the final race.

Member National Authorities (MNAs) are invited to apply for entry using this link before 1 June. An initial two invitations may be requested during the first phase of registration.

Sailors wishing to compete at the 2024 Double Handed World Offshore Championships should contact their MNA to discuss entry.

The event will be organised by Lorient Grand Large, Yacht Club de France and the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) and hosted at Lorient Grand Large with equipment supplied by Cap Regatta and support from Groupe Carboman and the French Sailing Federation (FFVoile). The FFVoile has appointed Christophe Gaumont as Race Director.

The fleet will race in the identical Sun Fast 30 One Design, one of the first production model sailboats built from a recyclable resin, which highlights the latest developments in sustainable boat building.
