Invitation to tender - 2022 Youth Olympic Games One Person Dinghy / Windsurf Events

World Sailing is inviting Class Associations and Equipment Manufacturers to tender for the One Person Dinghy and Windsurfer Events Equipment for the 2022 Youth Olympic Games set to be held in Dakar, Senegal.

The next edition of the YOG will run from 22 October to 9 November 2022 and sailing will have six events with an athlete quota of 128. For the Men’s and Women’s Windsurfer and Men’s and Women’s One Person Dinghy, World Sailing requires manufacturers or suppliers to provide Equipment, free of charge, for the event.
 
To ensure a fair and manageable qualification process, Classes and manufacturers/suppliers are required to partner to deliver the qualification events and an accessible development pathway.
 
In order to select the Equipment, a YOG Working Party, appointed by World Sailing’s Board of Directors, will manage the tender process and make their recommendation on the Equipment to be selected.
 
The YOG Working Party will evaluate the Equipment against criteria related to quality, availability, suitability for broad use, cost, appeal, class commitment, legacy and sustainability.
