After two days of no wind in Barcelona, Spain at the Nacra 15 World Championship, a Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games qualifier, the third day finally delivered.

The day began with some uncertainties regarding the weather as the first race of the day was canceled due to the lack of wind.

However, by 14:30 the breeze was stable enough and three races were held to officially kick off the Championship.

Doran Gouron Le Roch and Kenza Coutard (FRA) hold the early lead and are 13 points clear of Arnaud Grange and Marie Van Der Klink (SUI).

Thomas Proust and Martineau Clement (FRA), both under 16, excelled in the light breeze winning the first two races of the series. However a 31st in the third race of the day sees them sit in eighth overall but with the discard to come into play soon, they’ll be firmly in the hunt for top honours if they maintain their consistency.

Racing continues through to 27 April.
