Technical Courses conclude in Antigua, Argentina and Cambodia

Coaches form Antigua, Argentina and Cambodia were the most recent recipients of World Sailing's Technical Courses for Coaches which were run in January and March 2018.

Coaches form Antigua, Argentina and Cambodia were the most recent recipients of World Sailing’s Technical Courses for Coaches which were run in January and March 2018.

The Technical Courses for Coaches, available in Level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 and 2 aims to develop coaching aims to develop learn-to-sail coaching in the participation environment and Level 3 is race performance coaching.

The courses also help coaches to produce programmes to enhance progression for sailors.
 
Ten Antiguan coaches completed their Level 3 course which ran from 11-16 January. The President of the Antigua and Barbuda Sailing Association attended both the opening and closing ceremonies, in Antigua, as well as the Vice President being present daily to assist with the running of the courses.
 
Likewise, Argentina and Cambodia also held two Technical Courses for Coaches..
 
Private Level 1 and Level 2 courses were both held in Argentina in March to ensure the coaches were on a clear development pathway.  
 
Cambodia ran a Level 1 course 21– 25 March 2018. This was the first technical course for Cambodia to develop coaches in the country, after only becoming a World Sailing Member National Authority (MNA) in 2017. The course was held at Kep Sailing Club, in Kep province, with 24 confirmed attendees.
