World Sailing is seeking to appoint a Head of Training and Development (HOTD) to manage the delivery of the organisations Training & Development strategic aims and objectives.
 
This role requires research, development and delivery of programmes, projects and resources to promote development and training from the grass roots to elite across the sport.
 
The HOTD will work closely with key personnel including Regional Development Managers, Member National Associations (MNAs), third party providers and the Development and Regions Committee to effectively define and implement all relevant projects and programmes.  This position will be delivery focused and has the need to work closely with other members of the World Sailing team to translate strategic priorities into clear and measurable outcomes.
 
The HOTD will be supported by external experts and will have accountability for the training and development budget to deliver the strategy. 
 
Setting clear targets, monitoring progress and communicating with stakeholders about the programme will be critical.  In addition, the HOTD will be the central point to coordinate and promote best practice and support the Regional Development Manager and Coordinators in the delivery of their programmes.
 
The HOTD will be required to develop a strong relationship with all World Sailing stakeholders to ensure integrated and joined up delivery at all levels.  To this end the HOTD will be an excellent communicator who can quickly establish credibility and strong relationships across a wide and complex network of stakeholders.
