Day #1 Morning Report - Para World Sailing Championships

On the morning of the first day of racing at the 2017 Para World Sailing Championships, the host city - Kiel, Germany - was soaked in sunshine as more than 80 sailors from 39 nations made the final preparations to their boats.

On the morning of the first day of racing at the 2017 Para World Sailing Championships, the host city – Kiel, Germany – was soaked in sunshine as more than 80 sailors from 39 nations made the final preparations to their boats.

Held at the Schilksee Olympic Centre, as part of the 2017 Kieler Woche, the 2017 Para Worlds will see five days of competition across three Para World Sailing classes, the 2.4 Norlin OD, Men’s Hansa 303 and Women’s Hansa 303.
 
Paralympians, offshore sailors, world champions and rising stars will compete and the first day of competition will see a 9-10 knot west north west breeze.
 
Racing will commence at 13:00 local time on Golf and India racing areas.
