The opening day of the World Cup Series Final in Santander, Spain is going to be a cloudy with plenty of wind and light rain forecast for the day.
 
A cold front over Great Britain has swept into the Bay of Biscay bringing in a steady breeze around 14 knots from the north west. The breeze will swing slightly to the west, decreasing towards the latter part of the day.
 
Santander will be overcast throughout the morning and there is a chance of light rain until midday. In the afternoon, sunny spells are likely, bringing in good visibility and an increase in temperature to 19 degrees.

Monday saw sailors conclude their final preparations with equipment inspection and registration done and dusted. However, some sailors have received early penalties as they did not comply with the class rules during the equipment inspection process.
Three Men
s 470 teams, New Zealands 49erFX crew and RS:X racer Stefania Elfutina have all received discretionary penalties.
