There could be a long wait onshore for the 534 racers from 52 nations at Sailing’s World Cup Series in Hyères, France as the wind builds in to the high twenties.

A westerly breeze of 22-27 knots will be joined by gusts of 30-35 knots in the morning but will turn towards the north and ease a little to 20-25 knots, gusting 25-30.

The wind has picked up from day three when Nicholas Heiner moved ahead in the Finn class in only his third outing in the Heavyweight Dinghy.
