It's the first day of the 2016 Aon Youth World Sailing Championships and the 389 sailors from 65 nations are ready to race after a night of tradition and culture at the opening ceremony the night before.
It’s the first day of the 2016 Aon Youth World Sailing Championships and the 389 sailors from 65 nations are ready to race after a night of tradition and culture at the opening ceremony the night before.
The sailors can expect a southwesterly breeze of around 17-20 knots on their first day on the Hauraki Gulf, a day in which they will look to get out of the blocks quick to mount a challenge for one of the nine medals on offer.
