Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award top 20 on display at World Sailing's Annual Conference
Delegates attending the World Sailing Annual Conference have been given the chance to vote for their winner of the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award 2016 with the top twenty on display in Barcelona, Spain.
Delegates attending the World Sailing Annual Conference have been given the chance to vote for their winner of the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award 2016 with the top twenty on display in Barcelona, Spain.
With a designated Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image display at the Renaissance Fira Hotel, votes from the World Sailing delegates will be added to those from the upcoming Yacht Racing Forum in Malta, November 28-29 where the winner will be announced.
World Sailing and the Yacht Racing Forum are working in partnership to provide the world’s best photographers a platform for showcase and recognition of their work.
No less than 149 professional photographers spanning 25 countries submitted a picture for the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award 2016 with the top eighty pictures selected by a panel of international yacht racing photographers. The international jury then narrowed their selection down to the top 20 pictures which are on show at the Annual Conference.
Voting is still open to the public and is not restricted to the top 20 selected by the jury.

Started in 2010, the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image award is the world’s premier photography competition dedicated to the sport of sailing, celebrating the very best yacht racing image taken during the year, and which best represents the essence and excitement of the sport. Open to professional photographers, it provides an opportunity for yacht racing specialists to display their work and share their passion with a wide audience. More than one million people saw the pictures submitted for the last edition of the contest.

World Sailing’s Annual Conference brings together up to 700 delegates every first full week of November. It is the central meeting point where the strategy of sailing is reviewed, discussed and celebrated.
