Melbourne opens Sailing World Cup Final Kiteboarding

Entry for the Open Formula Kite competition at the 2016 Sailing World Cup Final set to be held out of St. Kilda sailing precinct in Melbourne, Australia from 4-11 December has been opened.

Entry for the Open Formula Kite competition at the 2016 Sailing World Cup Final set to be held out of St. Kilda sailing precinct in Melbourne, Australia from 4-11 December has been opened.

In accordance with the Qualification System, the Open Formula Kite event is now opened and not subject to the qualification process.

The process will be as follows:

Sailors wishing to attend the SWC Final in Melbourne shall request an invitation by Tuesday 8 November using the following link: http://matchdaymail.sailing.org/index.php?action=form&id=2857

Invitations will be sent on Wednesday 9 November at 12:00 UTC and sailors must pay the entry fee to secure their place.

Should the number of requests exceeds the number of places available, invitations will be sent using the World Sailing Ranking and the entry fee must be paid within 72.

Request received after 8 November will receive an invitation in order of receipt, subject to availability. World ranking will no longer take effect.
