Day 1 - Sailors set for start of Sailing World Cup Qingdao

Day one of the Sailing World Cup Qingdao begins with a cooler day at the home of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Sailing Competition as the seven Olympic class fleets are set to get underway.

Day one of the Sailing World Cup Qingdao begins with a cooler day at the home of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Sailing Competition as the seven Olympic class fleets are set to get underway.

Temperatures of around the early to mid 20s welcome the competing sailors for the first racing day with a northerly breeze of around 10 knots, gusting to 14 knots through the afternoon.
 
The windsurfers are scheduled for three races while the other fleets have two, depending on conditions, across three races areas. Racing begins at 12:00 local time.
