Light winds were across Weymouth and Portland on Wednesday morning ahead of racing at the fourth of six Sailing World Cup Regattas in the 2016 series.
A 3-4 knot north western morning breeze will make its way round to the south west by 13:00, coming in at 6-7 knots. It will provide a good challenge for the sailors and the light wind specialists will no doubt come to the fore.
330 sailors from 43 nations have registered to race at Sailing World Cup Weymouth and Portland and the schedule of the day is below. However, as of 10:30 local time, the breeze was yet to formulate and sailors remained on-shore at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.
