Job Description
World Sailing is the world governing body for the sport of sailing, officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
 
World Sailing is responsible for: the promotion of the sport internationally, managing sailing at the Olympic and Paralympic Games, developing the Racing Rules of Sailing and regulations for all sailing competitions, the training of judges, umpires and other administrators, the development of the sport around the world and representing the sailors in all matters concerning the sport.
 
World Sailing is seeking to appoint someone for the Training and Development Department reporting to the Head of Operations. This person will provide administrative support for the Regional Development Advisors and crucial work in the Training and Development Department, liaising with the IOC Olympic Solidarity Department.  They will be responsible for the World Sailing Scholarship Course, the Development Symposium, maintenance of the T&D Database and the administration of agreements. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels, be discreet and have the ability for occasional travel abroad with reasonable notice.
