Much has changed in Xu’s life since the last Olympic year. As she announced her retirement from Olympic sailing shortly after London 2012, Xu thought her days sailing the Laser Radial were over. The spark was always there, however, and burst into flames late 2015.
She made her comeback at the 2015 Laser Radial Worlds, finding her way back around the boat and is firmly on her own road to Rio.
