Following a light and testing start to Sailing World Cup Miami presented by Sunbrella the 711 sailors from 64 nations will welcome a change in conditions for the second day of competition.
Upon first glance outside the window this morning, sailors and officials could see a consistent breeze blowing the trees and flags on-shore and for those with a sea view from their hotel, a Biscayne Bay basked in sunshine and waves.
That breeze stayed in full flow as the morning progressed enabling the 470 fleets to head out and start on time for the first of three races.
The south easterly breeze will be present throughout the day, consistently hovering around 11-14 knots with gusts up to 17. The temperature will be around 24 degrees.
