#MalaysiaMondays - Hotel and Venue

In less than one week the Dayang Bay Resort and the Malaysian National Sailing Centre will come alive with the sounds of several hundred sailors from 80 nations.

What can the sailors expect from the resort and venue? Well, let us break it down for you:

Dayang Bay Resort

The Dayang Bay resort is a literal stone’s throw away from the Malaysian Sailing Centre. It’s so close you could literally crawl out of bed and then go sailing!

Briefings will take place out of the hotels Meeting Hall and there is an array of activities for the sailors to do around the hotel.

An infinity swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, gaming area will be enough to entertain the sailors when they have some down time and further away from the venue there several restaurants and a shopping mall.

The hotel also hosts a tourist operator which can send the sailors farther afield when sailing is done and dusted.

Malaysian National Sailing Centre

Once the sailors have crawled out of bed and somehow magically appeared on the door step of the Malaysian National Sailing Centre (honestly, it’s that close) they will be greeted with their boats all lined up in the boat parks.

The venue is split into two with a bridge over a small fishing inlet connecting both sections.

On-site facilities are just like any other National Sailing Centre that’s hosting a large scale regatta with a registration area, media centre, jury rooms, a sailor lounge and even a gym if anyone fancied pumping some iron!
