#MalaysiaMondays - Faces

The Youth World Championships in Langkawi, Malaysia this coming December will be the first introduction on the world stage for many of the gathered sailors from around the globe. A first step in to a possible long line of future World Sailing competition against their peers from across the continents and countries.

These sailors will be feeling many emotions from excitement, nerves, fear, happiness. And despite what you may hear from any person, you can often see these emotions in someone’s face.

We have selected a few shots from our Emerging Nation Program clinics, a program geared toward getting more nations in to sailing and to the Youth Worlds, so you can see up close and personal some of the emotion these future stars are feeling and showing.

These diverse clinics, hosted by World Sailing, leading up to this years Youth Worlds gave the opportunity to developing countries to further their sailing knowledge and skills. You can see the passion, commitment and endeavour as well as their joy at taking part in sailing in these pictures.

Faces can show your general personality and your overall approach to life. These faces could be the stars of the future, you could be seeing a lot more of them soon. Every face is different. These are just some of the reasons we have featured these pictures…but also, we just think they are really good shots. What do you think?
