A head of Marketing and Media is required by ISAF to manage our Marketing and Media Department, working closely with senior officers.
This is a central role to help the CEO develop and implement a marketing strategy and related communications. The Head of Department will be responsible for its delivery.
Key activities
To help create a corporate marketing strategy to promote ISAF on the world stage and secure major sponsorship deals
Provide leadership to the Marketing and Media Department to ensure the goals and priorities of ISAF are met
Manage staff performance and implement staff development needs.
Fulfillment of all sponsor contractual obligations, liaising directly with sponsor’s lead management team
Administration of ISAF data base building.
Contribute to the management of media relations and media coverage to strengthen the reputation of ISAF
Liaison on behalf of ISAF with the public in communication with MNAs, Classes, Media and other interested parties
Develop the brand, and the ISAF news strategy whilst managing digital communication and publications ensuring that the activity is cost-effective and delivers a good return on investment.
Knowledge / Ability
Extensive understanding of the sport of competitive sailing, most likely gained as a competitor at the highest level
Outstanding contacts and credibility amongst peers within competitive sailing
Project Management and Data / Analytical skills, gained in a similar multi-faceted environment
Teamwork, to be evidenced by experience of Board-level communication within a similar international, regulatory context
Good IT Skills and experience of maintenance of complex databases and building a social media presence
Salary will be set at market rate.
