Atlantic Holds Five

A big part of the dream is complete now for Bruno and Willy Garcia and for Aleix Gelabert and Didac Costa.

We Are Water rounded Cape Horn last night at 2206hrs UTC and, only 4hrs and 55mins later so did One Planet, One Ocean & Pharmaton. We Are Water went round 7 days 09hrs after GAES Centros Auditivos and 10 days 21hrs and 13 mins behind race leaders Cheiminées Poujoulat. Both enjoyed relatively benign conditions.

Race leaders Bernard Stamm and Jean Le Cam are eating up the miles north towards the Equator, racing in 15kts SE’ly trade winds. In between 24 and 36 hrs they will start to slow down into the Doldrums.

Neutrogena and GAES Centros Auditivos are on the eastern side of a high pressure and now have a bit of a long and difficult transition up to the trade winds. Guillermo Altadill and José Munoz have gained another 50 miles on their pursuers GAES Centros Auditivos and now are 175 miles ahead.

Renault Captur are still riding a stormy low making just under 17kts, 700 miles to Cape Horn. They have 35kts to 40kts winds from SW. And Spirit of Hungary are out of the light, light winds finally and trucking east again in building S-SW winds.
