After the disappointment of Monday where no racing was able to commence the Race Committee at the African Optimist Championship were relieved to finish three races for each fleet.
After the disappointment of Monday where no racing was able to commence the Race Committee at the African Optimist Championship were relieved to finish three races for each fleet.
There was a big swell and initially the wind was gusting 30 knots which was a challenge for both the race committee and the sailors. During the day though the wind reduced to 15 knots but those sailors who excel in strong winds thoroughly enjoyed today.
The current leader after four races is Rami RidËn from Tunisia closely followed by Georgou Divaris and Calvin Gibbs both from South Africa.
Wednesday sees some team racing action with fleet racing resuming again on Friday.
