Wind Fails To Deliver At Kieler-Woche
On the day after a thunderstorm the fourth day of Kieler-Woche was supposed to be dominated by a thermal sea breeze, but this was not the case as the wind failed to kick in.

Race director Jobst Richter had already announced an early start the day before to be able to pick up an early morning breeze but the competitors early morning proved to be in vain as they had to wait on shore.
On the courses far out there was no wind at all but a shortened program was possible closer to shore as the 49ers and 2.4mR sailors got some racing in.
Tobias Schadewaldt and Hannes Baumann (GER) lead the 49er followed by Mathieu Frei and Yann Rocherieux (FRA) and Erik Heil and Thomas Plobel (GER).
In the 2.4mR Damien Seguin (FRA) leads on 9 points with Thierry Schmitter (NED) second on 12.
“Such a day means more tension, than if you could sail,” said Laser sailor Simon Grotelueschen (Kiel), who at least could take the chance to get a massage after a day without sailing.
Medal Racing kicks off at 11:00 local time.
