After a frustrating week on Lake Chiemsee, Germany for the 2011 Audi Soling World Championship there were three races held on the final day.

After a frustrating week on Lake Chiemsee, Germany for the 2011 Audi Soling World Championship there were three races held on the final day.
Peter Hall, Paul Davis and Phillip Kerrigan sailed well on the final day picking up two bullets and an eighth place finish to end on 29 points. This was enough for them to beat the Hungarian team of George Wossala, Karoly Vezer and Peter Nemeth who finished with a score card of 4-5-7 on the final day giving them 30 points.
The biggest surprise of the day came from Team Differencial’s Nelson Ilha, Paulo Lemos and Felipe Ilha who picked up the final race win and ended with 47 points.
It ended up being an outstanding week of sailing with the days consisting of sun and winds from all directions.
The next Soling World Championship will be held in Milwaukee, USA. Preparations are already underway with a test event being held during the North Americans in 2011.
