Easy Does It For Hong Kong Sailor Chun Leung Michael Cheng

Chun Leung Michael Cheng (HKG) qualified for the Youth Olympic Games sailing competition by winning Techno 293 gold at the Asian Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, in April.

The 16-year-old took up the sport as part of an extra-curricular course organised by the Stewards Pooi Kei College in Hong Kong, where he is a student.

His local sailing club is the Windsurfing Association of Hong Kong, where he is coached by Winfield Zee (HKG).

Chun’s goal is to win an ISAF World Championship.

A keen swimmer and basketball player, his philosophy for competition is, “Just relax and take it easy.”
