Worldwide boat transportation and freight forwarding firm, PSP, has shipped vital boat building equipment to South Africa to allow the country to build Finn Class dinghies for the first time.
The company transported the first mould to Cape Town in April, on behalf of Pata Finns, and now the boatbuilding firm will be able to manufacture the Finn Class boats from its site in South Africa.
Frank Dixie, Managing Director of PSP, said: “It is incredibly exciting to be a part of this. We are a big supporter of the marine industry and racing, so to be part of a process that is bringing more racing boats into operation is a real winner.”
PSP transported the container of equipment from Hungary to Germany by road and then loaded it onto a ship to complete its journey to South Africa by sea.
