The second RS Tera World Championship will take place from 24-31 July at Carnac YC in South Brittany, France.
Registration has just opened and already nearly 50 boats have registered from six countries and two continents.
The RS Tera is an ISAF International Class suitable for junior single handed sailing, typically for sailors aged 8 to 14 years. The first RS Tera World Championship took place in Sweden in 2008 just two years after the class was introduced. Hermann Tomasgaard of Norway, then 14, became the first RS Tera World Champion in Sweden and has since gone on to win the under 16 Laser 4.7 World Championship.
The second RS Tera World championship promises to be an exciting event and there is plenty of time to register and some charter boats available. Entry is on-line at RS Tera website www.rstera.org.
If you are interested in chartering a boat or boats for your country’s team please contact Jon Partridge at RS Racing or for further information about the event or venue please contact Golly Tucker International RS Class Secretary.
