Tabarly Documentary Featured At The Olympic Museum

Tabarly, a documentary film by Pierre MARCEL on French sailing legend Eric TABARLY, named as one of six inaugural inductees into the ISAF Sailing Hall of Fame in 2007, will be shown at the IOC Olympic Museum in Lausanne on 7-8 November.

The documentary, an avant-première, and a première in Switzerland, is being shown in the framework of CinéFestival. Backed by the Eric Tabarly Association, the film evokes the extraordinary career of the sailor and his extreme sensibility. Drawing on unique documentation from French and foreign, professional and amateur, radio and audiovisual archives, mostly previously unseen, the documentary retraces the offshore races, the discreet and triumphal finishes, alone or in a team, over the 35 years of Pen Duick’s supremacy over all the seas of the world.

Friday’s screening will be followed by a debate with Swiss skipper Stève RAVUSSIN.
