Council And Executive Minutes Published From Mid-Year Meetings

Minutes from the meetings of the ISAF Council and ISAF Executive Committee at the 2008 ISAF Mid-Year Meeting in Qingdao have been published on the ISAF Meetings microsite.

The ISAF Mid-Year Meetings took place in Qingdao, China – the host city for this year’s Olympic Sailing Competition – from 8-12 May. Alongside the deferred submissions, and usual items of business, the Council also considered urgent submissions and recommendations from the Executive Committee, Events Committee and Equipment Committee meetings. The next formal ISAF meetings will be held at the 2008 ISAF Annual Conference, taking place in Madrid, Spain from 6-16 November. Amongst the key topics this year is the selection of the equipment (i.e. class) for the 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition.

At the end of this year’s Conference, the ISAF General Assembly will be held. It is on this occasion that the ISAF Officers (President and Vice-Presidents) members of the ISAF Council and all other ISAF Committee, Sub-Committee and Commission members automatically retire, and new officers, Council and Committee members are elected or appointed.
