The young French-German skipper Isabelle JOSCHKE leads the Mini Transat fleet as they enter their third day at sea.
The skipper of Dégremont Synergie is just over 6 nm ahead of Peter LAUREYSSENS (FRA) on Ecover, with this pair pulling out a slight advantage of the remaining fleet.
After a two-day delay, at 12:38 on Tuesday the fleet of 89 protagonists departed Fort Boyard in a 15-knot northerly. However since the start the fleet has been racing in relatively mild conditions which appear to have favoured the new prototype boats.
The fleet are just rounding Cape Finistere now on their way to the stopover in Madeira before heading onto the finish in Bahia, Brazil.
