BUHLER And LAMAS Lead In Chile

Matias BUHLER and Marcos LAMAS (ARG) sit top of the leaderboard after three bullets on the opening day of the ISAF Grade C2 470 South American Championships in Viña de Mar, Chile.

Sixteen crews from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay are contesting the South Americans from 19-24 February.

The opening day of racing took place in southwesterly winds of 8-11 knots, calm seas and under a sunny sky. BUHLER and LAMAS were on top form with three bullets in the opening three races giving them a four point lead over Maria SESTO and Consuelo MONSEGURA (ARG). A further two points back are the leading home crew of Alberto GONZÁLEZ and Diego GONZÁLEZ (CHI).
