Frustrating Day
It was a frustrating day for the multihull sailors in Miami, as a weak northerly in the morning grew weaker through the day, meaning there was no racing on day two of the ISAF Grade C1 Tornado North American Championship. John LOVELL and Charlie OGLETREE (USA) will take their one point overall in today's races, with much better conditions forecast.

On Tuesday, the high pressure system drifted east over the Gulf of Mexico and central Florida. This high dissipated through the day, resulting in decreasing pressure on the racing area.
Early in the morning the winds on Biscayne Bay were about 5 knots; in mid-morning there was a brief period of when the breeze reached about 7 knots, but at the first warning signal the breeze had become unstable and then decreased to 3-4 knots. At 14:00 the breeze was showing clear signs of dissipating further and racing was abandoned for the day.
The outlook for Wednesday is much better: the winds will become easterly and should build to 15 knots by mid-afternoon. The first warning signal today will be at 11:00.
The Tornado North American Championship is taking place as part of the Winter Circuit surrounding the ISAF Grade 1 Rolex Miami OCR.
