Last year’s losing finalist and current number six in the ISAF World Match Race Rankings, NEUGODNIKOV next week heads to Ireland to represent Russia at the ISAF Nations Cup Grand Final, and in advance of the event looked in good touch out on the Sopot waters yesterday. In a good breeze and light rain he gave a fine display of match racing to the spectators on the jetty, losing just one match to move into a strong early position.

However with a double round robin planned there is still a long way to go in Sopot and the likes of WIBROE and the rest of the chasing pack will be aiming to haul in the Russian.
