President Awarded Public Service Medal
Teo Ping LOW (SIN), President of Singapore Sailing Federation and ISAF Vice-President, has been awarded the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Medal), a Singapore National Day Award, for his contribution to sports.
Teo Ping LOW (SIN), President of Singapore Sailing Federation and ISAF Vice-President, has been awarded the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Medal), a Singapore National Day Award, for his contribution to sports.
LOW served as a committee member on the Council of Singapore Sports Council Committee from 1996 to 2005. Recently appointed Vice-President to the Singapore National Olympic Council, he has been at the helm of the Singapore Sailing Federation since 1999. He was elected as an ISAF Vice-President in 2004. Last year, he was elected as the President of the Singapore Rugby Union.
‘I am honoured to be awarded the Public Service Medal and dedicate this to all the sports people who have helped and contributed to my pursuits towards sports excellence,’ said an elated LOW.
The Singapore National Day Awards are a means of recognizing various forms of merit and service to Singapore. This year, a total of 2,936 individuals in 20 award categories received National Day Honours.
