Winkler Keeps His Crown
Only six races raced yet and for the third consecutive year team Heiko WINKLER/ Stefan WENZEL/ Jens NIEMANN - GER 297 are again the top Soling sailors in Germany with an almost perfect record with five first places and a second.
Only six races raced yet and for the third consecutive year team Heiko WINKLER/ Stefan WENZEL/ Jens NIEMANN – GER 297 are again the top Soling sailors in Germany with an almost perfect record with five first places and a second.
An excellent fleet of 25 boats from five countries took part in the Soling German Championship on Lake Chiemsee this weekend.
Seven races were programmed for weekend. Karl HAIST/ Ewald KÖSTLER/ Peter JACOB – GER 308 finished in second place with sixteen points, only one point ahead of the Hungarian Westel team of Georg WOSSALA/ Leslie KOVACSI/ Peter NEMETH – HUN 77 who had 17 points.
Team Roman KOCH/ Maxl KOCH/ Christoph WOSSALA GER 300 the recent Italian Open Championship winners finished fifth overall with 28 points, just behind two points behind Holger WEICHERT/ Laurent SCHEEL/ Frank FELLER GER 49 (26pts).
Another German team (Thomas Maschkiwitz/ Christoph Saurbier/ Dr. Christian Oeler ) just kept the advantage over The Netherlands team of Johan Offermans /Hans Zijlstra/ Bas Dlisee – NED 25 and The Slovakian team of Peter Mosny/ Anton Szomolanyi/ Marek Jancovic sponsored by centrumservices.
Chiemsee Lake is lucky to observe such a Regatta, with 75 sailors sailing in close races in their attempts to take off Winkler’s crown.
