It is with deep regret that ISAF reports the passing away of Mr Kenjiro MATSUDA, the Managing Director of the Japan Sailing Federation.

It is with deep regret that ISAF reports the passing away of Mr Kenjiro MATSUDA, the Managing Director of the Japan Sailing Federation.
Mr Matsuda passed away suddenly on Sunday 25 April, aged 69 years old. Alongside his role as Managing Director, Mr Matsuda was also the Chairman of the Olympic Sailing Committee of the Japan Sailing Federation.
An Olympic Sailor, Kenjiro represented Japan at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, crewing Yasutoshi TAGAMI in the Flying Dutchman Class.
Mr Matsuda had just returned from Cesme, Turkey, where he had been team leader for the Japanese Sailing Team at the 2004 Mistral World Championships.
ISAF sends sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr Matsuda.
