Joyon Record Ratified

The World Sailing Speed Record Council have today announced the ratification of Frenchman Francis JOYON’S Single-handed Round the World Record.

At 0654 GMT on 5 February, Francis JOYON (FRA) aboard the 90 ft Trimaran IDEC crossed the line from which he started just under 73 days previously, to set the fastest single-handed circumnavigation of the globe.

The WSSRC announces the ratification of the following record:

Round the World, non stop, singlehanded.
